This was a great show that received tremendous support from sponsors, spectators and competitors alike. Pictured to the left we see Emily Darvill presenting The Ralph Neeld Memorial Trophy for best-ridden performance in pleasure. This award was presented in memory of Emily's late father who sadly died earlier this year. The winner of this lovely trophy was Taliska Baden who had a very good day at the show and - as we've come to expect - won many rosettes. (We're very grateful to Sarah Nutt, Emily's mum, for providing such a lovely photograph for us to share!)

This was very well supported by members, and was a clear demonstration of a renewed enthusiasm across the Area. We believe that this was the best-supported AGM on record, which was a very encouraging start to 2010. For a full report of proceedings click on the icon to the right.

He had to be - we had a full agenda and there was a lot to discuss, so no wonder the meeting went on for a bit longer than expected. No complaints though, it was great to feel the enthusiasm in the room and the eagerness to get into full swing for 2010.
As there were so many folks there, we thought we'd better record it for posterity. Sorry to say that John had disappeared for a few moments, but we were getting a bit cold by now so decided to press on. At least most of the gang are in the picture. Apologies to anyone who isn't - including John!
