Area 3 members own and compete on a wide range of breeds including Highland ponies, Welsh ponies and cobs, traditional cobs, Arabians and also the various western breeds. As with all clubs and societies some members enjoy competition and others prefer to be enthusiastic supporters. There are plenty of opportunities for either! A number of our members compete at National level, but the focus at all of our events is to have fun and enjoy our horses and each other’s company in a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. That goes for officials and competitors alike. Check out this picture - and that's WES Chairman David Brindley!
Even if you don’t feel you want to join straight away come to one of our events and let the folk there help you with answers to your questions. That's how most of us started, and we're always happy to talk about our sport.
